Who we are
The Bonney Lake - Tehaleh (BLT) Rotary Club is a group of passionate and dedicated individuals who are committed to making a positive impact in their community and beyond. In just a few short months since its founding in February 2022, the club has already achieved a great deal, including participating in a highway cleanup, supporting a food bank, raising funds to eradicate polio, and contributing to numerous other charitable initiatives.
As a member of Rotary International, a global organization with more than 1.4 million members in over 200 countries, the BLT Rotary Club is part of a larger movement that is working to address some of the most pressing issues facing our world today.
Our Mission
At Bonney Lake Tehaleh Rotary, we live by Rotary’s motto: Service Above Self. Our mission is to strengthen communities by focusing on three core pillars: supporting education, growing local economies, and protecting the environment. Through our projects, we aim to empower individuals with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed, boost economic opportunities for all, and ensure a sustainable future for our planet.
We bring together passionate individuals from all walks of life to create lasting change. By leveraging our collective resources and commitment to service, we strive to address the critical challenges facing our community and the world.
What We Do
Our club focuses on initiatives that reflect Rotary’s key areas of focus, including:
Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention– Supporting efforts to foster understanding and reduce conflict in communities.
Disease Prevention and Treatment– Promoting health by supporting medical services, educating communities, and providing access to care.
Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene– Increasing access to clean water and improving sanitation in underserved regions.
Basic Education and Literacy– Supporting education through scholarships, school supplies, and tutoring programs.
Community Economic Development– Empowering local businesses and entrepreneurs through vocational training and financial inclusion projects.
Environmental Sustainability– Addressing environmental challenges and supporting projects that protect our planet for future generations.
We work locally to solve community problems, while also participating in global efforts that have a far-reaching impact.
