At our October 3rd meeting, the Bonney Lake Tehaleh Rotary Club had the pleasure of welcoming Frank Jackson and Zechariah Henderson from the Tacoma Rescue Mission. Their inspiring presentation highlighted the crucial work being done to serve individuals and families experiencing homelessness in our community.
Tacoma Rescue Mission has been a lifeline for many, offering more than just shelter—they provide meals, addiction recovery programs, and job readiness training, aiming to restore hope and dignity to those in need. Frank and Zechariah emphasized how Rotary members and the local community can make a lasting impact by supporting the Mission's life-changing initiatives.
There are many ways to get involved:
Volunteer: From serving meals to mentoring, volunteers play a key role in supporting the Mission’s efforts.
Donate: Every donation helps provide critical resources to those in need.
Advocate: Spread the word about the Mission’s work and advocate for long-term solutions to homelessness.
The Bonney Lake Tehaleh Rotary Club encourages everyone to learn more about how they can contribute to the mission’s cause. Together, we can continue to build a stronger, more compassionate community.
Visit the Tacoma Rescue Mission website for more details on how you can help! They also have additional programs that are worth taking a look at as well: Home - Good Neighbor Village (gnvlife.org) and Community First! Village - Mobile Loaves & Fishes (mlf.org)
Let’s be a part of the solution, one step at a time. 🌟
