Today is Groundhog Day and I am fascinated by it. Why? It is hard for me to accept that people actually believe that this random event can determine a cycle of weather. Because imagine someone says to you, “I only get out of bed if it is going to be sunny. If its cloudy I will have bad luck all day.” That is an alarming and unsettling thought, right? Then… why do some believe that an animal’s shadow determines when Spring arrives? A group of people usually need someone to serve as leader, in order to accomplish something. This leader ONLY has a chance for success with the endeavor if the followers have an open mind. If people in the group believe they will not succeed or the goal is impossible to achieve, the leader cannot lead effectively.
My point is this. I want every member of this club to be open minded about what we can do, such as creating our first big money-making event. We may be a small group, but please believe that we are capable of doing big things.
