Planting Corn

I couldn’t figure it out! In our backyard garden, I found small shoots that would become a corn stock.

But I didn’t plant corn! Then… I discovered that my neighbor was feeding dried corn to squirrels who

chose to bury some in my garden. My guess is that they hoped to dig up the corn kernel to eat and

forgot.

We leader and influencers plant corn all the time, but we want our ‘corn’ to turn into something big. The

corn seed stands for our ideas, dreams, and goals. The corn is also our employees and marketing efforts.

We spend most of our days planting corn.

But we often act like the squirrel and cannot wait for the corn to grow and mature. That’s because we

are a “I want it now!” society.

But any corn farmer will tell you that it takes patience and perseverance and vigilance to have a

successful crop. Can you image a farmer digging up their corn seeds every day to see if there is growth?

Therefore, commit to having blind faith in your ideas and dreams. There is a cycle for everything so let

the corn seed of your plans and efforts mature when they are ready to.

Squirrels make terrible corn farmers!
