Did you know there is a connection between Miracle Whip and the first 3 Star Wars movies?
The connection is the sentence, “Just think about it,” said by a trusting leader. James Lewis Kraft needed
an inexpensive mayonnaise that did not require eggs. James shared his idea with food engineer at Kraft,
who exclaimed, “No eggs. That’s impossible.” To which James replied, “Think about it.” Not too long
later Miracle Whip was developed.
When George Lucas was crafting his Star Wars movies, he would think of a scene he wanted in the
movie that required special effects. Whenever he shared that need with his many technical wizards,
they would often say, “It can’t be done.” George would reply, “Just think about it.” And soon the special
effect would be a reality.
As a leader in your organization, in your community and here in Rotary you will face the resistance that
plagues many leaders. The good leader, who trusts and believes in their people will respond with “Just
think about it.”
